This guide is meant to be more than just a newbie's guide to TFC. Hopefully it will answer the question "I made it to level 5, now what?". If you feel an area is lacking or have something to add, find me on the forums or in game.

Character Creation

For a step by step guide to the character creation see Character Creation
As with most computer games, TFC is really all about the #s. This section will go over how the character creation prompts affect those #s.

By what name do you wish to be known?

Has to be a fantasy name. If the name has been used before, (ex. Dying before you reach level 2) it will add a generation to character whois.

Mobs = 1-10 (how available are low level mobs and are they easy to fight and get back to town)
Env = 1-10 (Environment how well written is the area. Are the descriptions up to date)
Travel = 1-10 (how easy is it to get from the town to the next level of areas)

M = Magic (sells recall potions etc)
F = Food (sells food items)
G = General Store (Sells misc. items
I = Inn (get a room)

Entering "N" will re-roll the stats. Entering "Y" will lock in the stats and create the character.
The only stat that is critical, is Luck (Luc). It is un-trainable so it will be static through the life of the character. All others can be boosted by fighting mobs, training (Trains), or equipment modifiers. It is still best to roll until Luck is MAX and all others are not LOW.
