Venom's Suspicions - Log by DarkClaw

Venom yells (in common), 'May I have permission to enter?'.

An Elemental Lair
[Exits: north]

You yell, 'Yes'.

Venom arrives from the north.
Venom raises his nose to the air in a curious fashion.

Venom raises an eyebrow.
Venom says (in common), 'Who was messing with my coffin!'.

DarkClaw is obviously in distress but looks up to you in confusion. "Messing with your coffin?"

Venom eyes you with a deep level of suspicion.

You say, 'No one that I'm aware of.'.

Venom says (in common), 'I do not believe you. The scent of perfume is clear and distinguishable'.

DarkClaw sighs, her shoulders slumping as she leans her head back against the wall. "This again, Venom?"

You say, 'I do not have the energy, or the will, to argue with you right now.'.

Venom says (in common), 'Perhaps not, but I know someone was playing around! I am in no mood for games with my coffin, I need my rest if I am to complete my plans!'.

Venom storms out!
Venom leaves north.

You [GS] tell Venom, 'I cannot babysit your coffin 24/7.'.

Venom prays, 'Yes well I am just going to have to set a trap!'.

You [GS] tell Venom, 'Perhaps you should. Maybe you'll end up with a good meal in the process.'.

Venom tells you (in common), 'Indeed...'.

You [GS] tell Venom, 'Tell me... Why do you always think I'm playing some type of game with you?'.

Venom tells you (in common), 'I don't... I just usually suspect when there is something going on in the temple that you know about it.'.

You [GS] tell Venom, 'Even I don't sit here every second of each day. I would lose my mind.'.

Venom tells you (in common), 'Yes well, assuming you are innocent, a trap is in order.'.

You [GS] tell Venom, 'I am hardly innocent, as you know, but innocent in so much as playing games with you, yes.'.

Venom tells you (in common), 'You know what I meant!'.

You [GS] tell Venom, '*rubs her temple* Please stop yelling. I was hoping the civilized interactions would carry on after the ball as well, but I should've known better.'.

Venom tells you (in common), 'I am being civilized. I am just pissed off because someone is messing with my coffin'.

You [GS] tell Venom, 'I cannot think of anyone whose scent you would not recognize. Are you sure you don't know it?'.

Venom tells you (in common), 'I know it, but not well enough to place who it is.'.

You [GS] tell Venom, '*steps out of her office and into the temple, walking over to your coffin*'.

Temple of the Lost
[Exits: south west]
A large eye hovers in mid-air here, emitting a soft, purple glow.

You [GS] tell Venom, '*leans over your coffin and drags in a deep breath through her nose, her expression scrunching in concentration*'.

You [GS] tell Venom, 'It does seem familiar somehow, but...the perfume is not one I'm accustomed to. I have some incense should you wish to get rid of whomever's scent it is.'.

Venom tells you (in common), 'No, I don't want to do anything to change anything. I will keep it all exactly how it is in order to play like I have not made this discovery. I will set a trap tonight.'.

You [GS] tell Venom, '*nod* Very well.'.

The Peace of the Mother - Log by DarkClaw

Base of the Oak
[Exits: west up]
Some wild flowers grow here, untouched by mortal hands.
Violets grow in small bunches here.
(Glowing) The altar glows brightly beside the tombstone.
(Blue Aura) The tombstone of the Dark Mother lies here, surrounded by flowers.
(White Aura) Ybarra's shade floats dimly before you.
A small black cat sits here purring next to the old man.
(White Aura) An old man sits in the corner smiling to himself.

DarkClaw kneels down before the tombstone, gliding her hand across its top surface to sweep away a few leaves and tiny twigs that blew in.

DarkClaw places a single white rose in their place and leaves a soft, lingering kiss upon the stone. "Hello, Mother."

DarkClaw rises to her feet again and closes her eyes, a slow smile warming her expression as she feels the woman's presence.

DarkClaw whispers, 'Thank you for your visit. I've missed you.'

DarkClaw reopens her eyes and rests her gaze on the spirit before her, continuing to smile as she feels her ethereal embrace.

Drakar tells you, 'How did the Kindred Ball turn out?'.

You tell Drakar, '*sigh* Hardly anyone showed. Venom, myself, Lexie, Pie, Kevaar, Ghazkull, Sami and Aphelion for just a little bit. That's it. But we still enjoyed it. How've you been?'.

Drakar tells you, 'Fair, I suppose'.

You tell Drakar, '*with a bit of concern* Is everything alright?'.

Drakar tells you, 'Of course, it's alright..'.

You tell Drakar, '...I hear a but... If you wish to join me, you may. Perhaps the Mother's presences would sooth you as well.'.

Drakar stretches his cat-like form against the ground, waiting for someone to take notice.
Drakar looks at the Guardian.

DarkClaw pulls back from the embrace and takes a seat on the ground, smoothing her skirts beneath her.

Drakar looks at the spirit of Ybarra.

DarkClaw smiles up at your presence. "Welcome, Tiger."

Drakar nods quietly and pads over to the wild flowers, finally resting.
Drakar says, 'Hello..'.

You say, 'Sorry, I was, um...getting my usual hug. I come here when I need to relax or think clearly. Ybarra's presence soothes me.'.

Drakar nods in recognition to you.
Drakar looks at the spirit of Ybarra.

You say, 'You seem...quiet...distracted.'.

Drakar says, 'Who wrote those words on the tombstone?'.

You say, 'I am assuming that Khore did...though I suppose it could have been Bezil. It doesn't seem like something Lestat would do.'.

Drakar says, '...Bezil..? I am not familiar with that name..'.

You say, 'Bezil is...the Guardian Vampire. He is very old...much older than I am.'.

Drakar says, 'I see.. Perhaps it was Khan?'.
Drakar shrugs.

You say, 'That is quite possible as well.'.

Drakar says, 'Do you recall the first time you visited Sanguinna?'.

You say, 'Not much about it, no. I believe it was when Khore brought us to discuss the Maelstrom...'.

Drakar smiles happily.

You say, 'Did you ever come here as a mortal?'.

Drakar says, 'Of course.. I remember one time with Wistom, specifically..'.

You say, 'What happened?'.

DarkClaw listens attentively, relaxed and pleased to have the company.

Drakar says, 'I don't know that it was very eventful. We used the egg casings to store items. At one point, they were rather popular amongst mortals..'.

DarkClaw runs a hand over the soft fur of your nearest arm, unable to resist.

You say, 'Yes, I remember. Then it became the saddlebags. Now it's the cargo nets.'.

Drakar snickers softly.
Drakar says, 'Realm inflation.'.

You grin evilly at him.

Drakar says, 'I seem to remember aggravating the guardians before, also. It's conceivable they muted me when I was much younger and tried to have their way with me.'.

DarkClaw makes a mock face of disbelief. "Surely not! I can't imagine you ever causing trouble."

You wink suggestively at Drakar.

Drakar says, 'If you your nose is truly adept, however, you can still smell burnt Tiger fur from the Keep..'.
Drakar snickers softly.

You laugh.
You say, 'Did you make it out alive?'.

Drakar says, 'No. I fell amongst the bones.'.

You wince. Ouch!
You say, 'Wistom, too?'.

Drakar says, 'No, not that time.'.

You frown. What's bothering you?

Drakar looks at the Guardian.

You say, 'Well, I'm thankful that the Gods chose to return your life to you.'.

Drakar says, 'They must have a keen eye for potential.'.

Drakar smirks.
Drakar says, 'Have you ever considered curing the Guardian's blind eyes?'.

You say, 'He is rather stubborn about it.'.

Drakar pokes the Guardian in the ribs.

The Guardian looks around, startled.

You say, 'He says he does not wish to regain his sight...though he hasn't chosen to reveal why.'.

Drakar grins happily.
Drakar says, 'Perhaps he is able to see more with his eyes closed. Like some others are able to say more with their mouths shut. Fortunately, I don't have that issue.'.
Drakar snickers softly.

You nod in recognition to him.
You say, 'Neither do I.'.

You smirk.
You say, 'But at least I am usually able to retain the peace.'.

Drakar smiles happily.

DarkClaw leans back against the oak again and lets out a hugs, contented sigh.

You say, 'I really needed to get out of the temple for a bit.'.

Drakar says, 'The walls start to close in, hmm?'.

You say, 'Yes. And every once in a while it's good to...clear the mind and forget all that is before you.'.

Drakar looks at the Guardian's familiar.

Drakar says, 'Venom is growing, it seems..'.

DarkClaw scowls and shifts slightly at the mention of the name. "He is trying to reach fifty as quickly as possible."

Drakar says, 'Hmm..'.

You shrug.
You say, 'He's anxious to PK.'.

Drakar has left the game.
