Character History:

Out of the wilderness came he, the perfect killing machine. Eyes piercing the environment, searching for prey. Saliva and blood dripping out of his mouth, hands ready to butcher everything that came within his grasp. The fear of the jungle was he! No wonder that Jerome fled when he saw this monster...all the way to the northern continent. After wandering a while he settled in the woods, alone with nothing but his lute. One day 't was Barabas that discovered him. The old cleric summoned him and asked him if he was interested in good food and education. Jerome liked Barabas, but when he saw his other student he didn't want anymore. Lambique had scared him away with his six hairs. But Barabas knew he would return. Thus ends the second chapter of Barabas' Chronicles. Jerome has chosen the path of those with free Souls, and he has grown into an independant artist.......The Artist.

From that day on, Jerome wandered into the wilderness on his own. After a few months of wandering, on one day he entered a small camp in the woods near, what we now call, the Fields of Grain. At first he didn't enter the camp but due to his lack of experience as a sneaker, he was soon discovered and taken prisoner.

The camp was inhabited by the Raven Association. This Association consisted of warriors, mages and thieves who had been banned from their hometowns and had been forced to live elsewhere. In earlier days some of these people encountered eachother and decided that forming a group would offer a better chance of survival. The leader of the Association, Eradicator the Fierce, asked Jerome about his business in the woods. Jerome said he just wandered across the lands searching for food and shelter. Eradicator asked him if he was interested in joining the Association and to become a Raven. In order to do that Jerome had to promise his loyalty to the Association and to Eradicator. Jerome hesitated but when he saw the relative wealth the Ravens all had, he accepted. He soon became familiar with the ways of the Raven, and the Master Ranger trained him till his skills were excellent. Then at one day, Eradicator called for Jerome. Eradicator explained to Jerome that his time had arrived, that he must make himself useful. Of course Jerome was eager to give something in return for the life the Association had given him. But when he heard his task, he resisted. Eradicator had ordered him to raid a small elven village and loot it. Jerome couldn't resist Eradicator and tried to carry out the task. He failed.

Of course Eradicator was angry about this and finally the true meaning of the Raven Association became clear to Jerome, they were an evil clan in search for spoils of carnage. Eradicator knew Jerome was still young and kept the young ranger in the Association. After that times were less violent, and Jerome developed the skill he didn't know he had. The skill of Art. The Art gave him a peaceful satisfaction and a less turbulent life. He developed the skill of Art to expert, and at one day he was only occupied with the Art. That was also the time he discovered the Force only known and experienced by those blessed with the skill of Art. That Force gave him strength and resistance against the evil ways of the Association, and for the first time he spoke out for himself against Eradicator.

This Force, known to those who experience it as The Muse, gave him such strength that an encounter between the Association and Jerome had to come. Eradicator and Jerome met eachother in arms and only one prevailed. The Artist had risen and the eradicator had been destroyed. After the death of their Lord the other Raven went after Jerome but he escaped. He ventured south and in fact not so long ago...the Artist entered Malenest. From that time on because of his independence, he was known by the Association as the 'Yellow Raven'.
