  • Thank you for your additions to the Glossary, Tenko!! If you wouldn't mind, could you please match the existing formatting? (Ie, words in lower case, rather than all caps, and where applicable, keep things on one line? Also, don't forget to link to existing pages, if the definition references helps that Katrana's already made pages for. Your additions are appreciated!! Cordir 05:00, 1 June 2011 (MST)
    • Yes certainly. I will keep original formatting. I apologize for that. Question, do you mean I should include this word for example: PK CLASSIFICATION and keep in lower case so that it looks like this PK Classification. Also, I do not know how to link to existing pages. I was looking at making links, but was totally baffled by it. Made a couple stabs at it. Your assistance will be needed and appreciated on how to link to existing pages. Thanks, Cordir. ~Tenko~
      • Thank you! Yes - please do use lower case as you did in your paragraph above. To create an internal link, you use the double brackets "[[" on either side of the words. When in doubt, you can always scan the entries above yours, to get hints on how its done! (Also, if you put four tildes "~" together with no spaces, it signs your name and the time you posted.) • Just as an FYI: I saw you were having some difficulty with links on other pages: Not everything that it makes sense to link to, has a page built for it just yet. (PK Classification, etc) Wikis are also very very particular about capitalization with links. A link to "pk classification" won't properly link to a page that is named "PK Classification." Also, when you're using the pipe "|" character in a link, what is to the LEFT of the pipe is the actual page name, what is to the right can be any associative term. You'll see this used for player pages a lot. The player name might be "Strider Elessar", but the page name is "Strider". The pipe would be used to display "Strider Elessar" while linking to "Strider": [[Strider|Strider Elessar]] I hope that helps! Cordir 07:17, 1 June 2011 (MST)
          • Thanks, Cordir. It helps a little. I was trying to link "pacifist" from the "Score" page to "Pacifist" on the "Glossary" page. Not sure how to do that. Any ideas? ~Tenko
  • Cordir, I have noticed that some important TFC terms and definitions are duplicated in more than one place in the wiki. For example Evil and Good. For discussion sake, do you think having these terms/definitions in more than one place is necessary? I think terms/definitions might want to be in one place in the Glossary section. What is your opinion? Tenko 09:28, 2 June 2011 (MST)
    • Hi Tenko: That's why you will see that the majority of the Glossary definitions I wrote up are very minimal, but the link to the more complete HELP entry. Also, for your examples of Evil and Good, there's the official HELP EVIL, there's the spells involving evil - dispel, detect, protection vs - and there's other entries like the University of Evil. Each of these is a unique instance. I don't want the glossary to be the be all, end all of the wiki: it should simply be another means of finding the HELP file you need, and getting a brief overview. • Ok thanks - I understand and agree! Tenko 12:29, 3 June 2011 (MST)
